NIRVANA's "Greatest Hits" Due In October

NIRVANA's Greatest Hits is set to hit stores on October 22nd, according to a Universal Music release schedule. It's the first greatest hits package by the trio, and it's rumored to feature a previously unreleased track, "You Know You're Right".

Although the song's inclusion hasn't been confirmed, it's thought that the track is part of a legal settlement being worked out between former NIRVANA members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic, and Courtney Love, widow of the late Kurt Cobain, who wrote and sang most of the band's material. Grohl and Novoselic are in a battle with Love for control of the Nirvana LLC, which controls all management decisions for the band. Love successfully lobbied for an injunction that prevented the winter 2001 release of a NIRVANA boxed set that was to feature "You Know You're Right" and other rarities.
